Inspired to use art a social change agent, Tambra Stevenson, creator of Postcards from Katrina, took photography in the Gulf coast region of the U.S. six months after Hurricane Katrina. From the photos, she have artistically expressed what Katrina means to her, which is to have hope among the sea of despair. She uses the color scheme: red, black and white to capture balance of hope and help. Combining her education in health communication/marketing and her gifted talents in the arts, she brings art and therapy together to creatively express herself and inspire others as well.
