On the 19th anniversary of the world's worst industrial disaster, the Bhopal gas tragedy of 1984, activists from Greenpeace held a protest activity at the headquarter of Dow Chemical Europe as part of the Global Day of Action against Corporate Crime.
This is what my city is all about... people standing behind the statue are not the dead's relatives, instead they are the local ppl who are still ashamed of the wrong decision made by the government.
:( i rememeber this tragedy, i was young that time, but a dimension of this disaster was so huge... and awful that i am not able to forget, even i have not been there.. thank you for posting and remind about this
The Bhopal disaster happened before I was born, but I remember how shocked I was, when I first learned of the incident, at the negiligence of some corporations and the disregard for human life, even on part of governments. thanks for posting this.
